OBTAINING SCHENGEN VISAS IN THE U.K. Schengen Visas need to be obtained from the relevant Embassy of the Country you will be travelling to. The documents required, depending on your status in the U.K., are given in the table below. All documents must be original and most recent.

- Original Passport: The Passport must be valid for more than 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa, with a blank visa page to affix the visa sticker. The U.K. Residence Permit must also exceed by more than 3 months the validity of the requested visa. British Dependants will have to send their spouse’s passport along with their own passport.
- Passport size Photographs: 2 recent Passport size Photographs in colour (3.5 x 4.5 cm), taken against a white background with good contrast / clear / good quality, printed on normal photographic paper, unmounted, and full face without sunglasses or head covering.
- Bank Statements: Original Current Account Bank Statements (Internet printouts are acceptable) for the last 3 months, with a minimum balance of £500.00 per person travelling. In case you do not have the Bank Statements, please submit Travellers Cheques for £500.00 per person travelling.
- Payslips: Original Payslips for the last 3 months.
If self-employed: An up-to-date letter from your solicitor; or an up-to-date letter from your accountant; or an up-to-date letter from your Bank Manager; or an up-to-date letter from your local Chamber of Commerce, will be required. - Pension Book / Letter: Original Pension Book or letter stating that you are receiving direct debit in your account.
- Employer Reference Letter: Letter from Employer, not more than one month old, confirming employment, position held in the Company, starting date, and leave to travel.
- School / University Letter: Letter from School / University / College, not more than one month old, confirming full-time status as a Student, stating the type of studies, details of Course, and attendance record.
- Original Marriage Certificate: Your original Marriage Certificate in English with full names. If the Marriage Certificate is not in English, please submit an Official Translation. The Official Translation must be certified as a true copy by the Embassy / Consulate of the Country where your marriage was celebrated or by the legislation bureau of the Foreign Office in the U.K.
- Original Birth Certificate: Your original Birth Certificate in English, stating both parents full names. If the Birth Certificate is not in English, please submit an Official Translation. The Official Translation must be certified as a true copy by the Embassy / Consulate of the Country where you were born.
- Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance and Policy Document including Medical Cover and Repatriation. The Insurance must cover the duration of the requested visa.Temporarily Taj Tours is not providing travel insurance.
- Schengen Visa Application Form: The duly completed and signed Schengen Visa Application Form, which is available from the website of the relevant Embassy. (Please click here to download the Visa Form for Schengen Visa).
- Minor Form: The Minor Form is required If you are under 18 years of age and travelling without your parents. (Please click here to download the Form for Minors).
OBTAINING SCHENGEN VISAS IN THE U.K. THROUGH TAJ TOURS - In U.K., Taj Tours can only arrange your Schengen Visa through the French Embassy (AP111/ 2009) and Swiss Embassy.
You can apply through our agency for the Schegnen Visas only if France is your main destination.
Swiss Embassy: The Schengen Visa can only be arranged through the Swiss Embassy for passengers residing outside the M25. - In case you wish to arrange your Schengen Visa through Taj Tours, you will have to pay for the same separately. The cost of applying for and processing the Visa is not included in the Tour Price.

- Bookings where the passengers require the Schengen Visa to be processed through Taj Tours will be confirmed only after receipt of the completed and signed booking form, payment and all relevant visa documents at the Taj Tours Office at Wembley.
- We strongly advise you to submit all documents for visa processing at least eight weeks prior to the Departure Date of the Tour for which you are making the booking.
- While sending your original documents for Visa processing, please keep photocopies of all documents with yourself.
- In case you wish to arrange your Schengen Visa through the French Embassy, please complete Part 34 of your Schengen Visa Application Form with the details of the following hotel, where we stay during the Tours:

We will charge £10.00 per Visa Application for preparing a proper photocopy of your documents.
Visa Documentation And Passport Return Policy:
You may visit our Office at Wembley to collect your Passport and original documents.
You may send a self-addressed pre-paid special delivery envelope of the appropriate value while submitting your Booking Form and Visa Application. After the Visa is processed, we will post your Passport and original documents to you in the special delivery envelope.
You may pay an additional amount of £10.00 for the return of your Passport and original documents while making the Booking.
